Casa Barry Lodge is the home of the Manta Ray & Whale Shark Research Centre. They are our primary local sponsor in Mozambique providing in-kind support for our research program. They also offer top-quality accommodation and food in Tofo Beach, Mozambique. We also provide weekly research talks to guests and have an office and education centre on-site.

Our major scientific projects are supported by the Save Our Seas Foundation, whose mandate is to support worldwide efforts to raise awareness and promote the protection, preservation and conservation of the marine environment.

Andrea Marshall's PhD research on manta rays is conducted through the School of Biomedical Sciences at The University of Queensland, Australia.

We work with Tofo Scuba, Mozambique's longest operating dive business, to carry out research on best-practice sustainable tourism, to educate and inform divers and in working on local conservation efforts.

Project AWARE supports our population ecology and tourism-focussed research and education programs on both manta rays and whale sharks.

Ocean Revolution is an international program developed to inspire and empower a new wave of young leaders to protect our oceans.

Our research boat was custom-fitted by Mallards Boating, equipped with marine electronics donated by Lowrance S.A. and powered by twin Mercury outboard motors.

ScubaPro South Africacontributes to the Manta Ray & Whale Shark Research Centre by supplying researchers with top of the line diving equipment.
